Players manage a party of heroes who fight monsters called Interfusions in turn-based battles on a grid. Combat uses a strategic system where position and abilities matter greatly. Players move across a map between battles to clear threats, build defenses, and gather resources. The game runs on a chapter system, with each campaign telling a complete story across multiple chapters spanning years. Heroes age, retire, have children, and can return in later campaigns as legacy characters.
