Sniper Elite 3 follows OSS agent Karl Fairburne as he fights against German forces in Africa. Players must manage noise by timing shots with loud sounds to hide their position. The X-ray kill camera returns, showing bones and organs as bullets hit targets. Levels are more open than in past games, allowing many ways to finish tasks. Players can use traps like trip mines and grenades to set up defences. Besides sniping, the game includes silent takedowns and regular gun fights when needed. Moving bodies to hide them is important to stay hidden from enemies.
