Mortal Shell Gameplay
Players use different bodies known as Shells, each with unique abilities and stats. The combat needs careful timing for attacks, blocks, and dodges. A unique hardening mechanic temporarily turns your character to stone, blocking damage and creating openings to strike. You get knocked out of your Shell and become very weak when hit too many times. You must return to your Shell quickly or find another one to continue fighting. The story puts you in the role of the Foundling, a pale being who can take control of these fallen warrior Shells.

The game includes four different Shells to discover and use, each with different strengths. Players can find and upgrade weapons like swords and hammers through regular use. A special parry tool called the Tarnished Seal helps counter enemy attacks. The atmosphere uses dark, misty areas and ancient ruins to create tension. Players must search for items and lore pieces to understand the story better. The graphics show detailed character models and effects that match the dark theme. Sacred Nektar and Glimpses serve as upgrade currencies to improve your abilities.
