Far Cry is a first-person shooter game developed by Crytek and published by Ubisoft. The game was released on 23 March 2004 for Microsoft Windows, with PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions coming later in 2006.

Far Cry puts players in the role of Jack Carver, a former special forces soldier who must rescue a journalist named Valerie from a tropical island run by Dr. Krieger. There are many weapons to find, such as pistols, shotguns, rifles, rocket launchers, and special weapons. The multiplayer mode supports up to 16 players with game types like deathmatch and assault. The game has three difficulty levels that change how much damage players take and how smart the enemies act.
