Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood is a first-person shooter game developed by Techland and published by Ubisoft. The game was released on 30 June 2009 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.

Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood is a prequel to the first game and follows the story of Ray and Thomas McCall, two brothers who desert from the Confederate Army during the American Civil War. Players can select which brother to play as at the start of most levels. Ray uses dual pistols and is better at close combat, while Thomas is skilled with rifles and can use a lasso to reach high places. The game includes gunfights where players can take cover behind objects and use various weapons from that period. Both characters have a special ability called “Concentration Mode”, where time slows down, and they can kill many enemies quickly. The game also features duels, where players must keep their hand near their gun, wait for the bell, and draw fast to shoot their opponent.

Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood has 15 chapters set in different locations, like Georgia, Mexico, and Arizona. The game includes many historically accurate weapons, such as various revolvers, rifles, shotguns, and even a Gatling gun in some sections. There are horse riding sequences where players can shoot while on horseback. The story explores the relationship between the brothers as they search for gold and deal with their past. A multiplayer mode includes different classes with unique abilities and game types like team deathmatch and wanted. The graphics use Chrome Engine 4, which allows for detailed outdoor areas with mountains, deserts, and towns that look like the Old West.
