Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Chaos Theory is a stealth action game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It was released for PC on March 29, 2005. This game is the third main title in the Splinter Cell series and follows Sam Fisher as he works to stop a war between Japan, North Korea, and the United States.

Players control Sam Fisher, a secret agent who must stay in the shadows to finish his tasks. The game has ten story missions across Japan, South Korea, and New York. You can move through levels without killing anyone or taking out enemies. Sam has many tools like a knife that can cut through cloth, break locks, and attack opponents. The light meter shows how hidden you are – darker is better. Sam can now grab enemies, use them as shields, or drag them to dark spots. You can ask bad guys questions before knocking them out or worse.

The game looks better than past titles, with top-notch lighting and shadow effects. It has co-op missions where two players work as spies together. The versus mode lets spies play against soldiers. Each level has many paths to reach your goal. The sound is excellent, with music by Amon Tobin that changes based on what happens. The PC version runs at high frame rates with the proper setup. Sam’s suit is grey-blue instead of black now. The game includes a noise meter to show how loud Sam is being.
