Sniper Elite 3 is a tactical third-person shooter game developed by Rebellion Developments and published by 505 Games. The game was released on 27 June 2014 for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, set in North Africa during World War II.

Sniper Elite 3 follows OSS agent Karl Fairburne as he fights against German forces in Africa. The game focuses on sniping from a distance with realistic bullet physics that accounts for gravity, wind, and heart rate. Players must manage noise by timing shots with loud sounds to hide their position. The X-ray kill camera returns, showing bones and organs as bullets hit targets. Levels are more open than in past games, allowing many ways to finish tasks. Players can use traps like trip mines and grenades to set up defences. Besides sniping, the game includes silent takedowns and regular gun fights when needed. Moving bodies to hide them is important to stay hidden from enemies.

The campaign has eight maps across North Africa, with optional goals in each area. The game includes various multiplayer modes, such as Team Deathmatch and Distance King, plus co-op play, where two people can work together through the story. The Challenge mode asks players to finish special tasks under strict rules. Weapon upgrades let you improve your guns with better scopes and parts. The “Authentic” difficulty setting removes aiming help and counts actual bullet drops, needing real skill to hit distant targets. The save system uses checkpoints to mark progress during missions. DLC packs add weapons and a three-part campaign to find and kill Hitler.
